2007
Again thousands of visitors attended the annual
event held at the beautiful
UCLA campus in Los
Angeles. Hundreds of authors were on hand to
sign their books, including yours truly...

Below are a few photos that I took while
wandering around when not signing at the
Sisters in Crime Booth.

A few of the authors I signed with included:
Cara Black, Denise Hamilton, Darrell James,
Sue Ann Jaffarian, Keith Raffel, Andre Coleman,
Gay Totl Kinman,  Clare Langley-Hwathorne,

and
Marion McNair.  One of my all time favorites,
Jason Starr, stopped by as did David Morrell.
Andre Coleman with "The Prez," Sun Ann Jaffarin.
Denise Hamilton sold out of the short story
anthology she’d edited, “
Los Angeles Noir.
If you haven't read books written by Jason Starr, the guy with the long
hair, you're in for a treat. His books are fresh and captivating. "Lights
Out" is fantastic. The other guy  is some bum trying to sell his books.
Larry Mantle of the PBS
radio station KPPC was
there broadcasting live
interviews of the great
authors attending the
festival. I was able to
listen to his interview
of
Denise Hamilton.
Fabulous!

"Bitter Roots" author, Marion McNair.
Not only is he a great writer, but Darrell
James
is a terrific guy.

Darrell and his beautiful wife,
Diana,
have worked tirelessly supporting our
group,
Sisters in Crime, Los Angeles
Chapter.

Thanks Darrell and Diana for all of you
support.

I’d also like to thank the president of
SinC/LA,
Sue Ann Jaffarian, who
convinced me to join and has been
extremely supportive of my work. A
special thanks goes to
Susan Beery for
the tremendous effort that she made
bringing about our participation in this
wonderful event.

Well, that's all for this year at the
Los
Angeles Times Festival of Books
. I had
a wonderful time, sold a lot of my
novels, and made a whole bunch of
new friends.
